La Fabrica

The first of Amber and Christian Meier's establishments, set up in early 2016, La Fabrica is one of our all-time favourites. While no longer a "local secret", La Fabrica is a staple for pre- and post-ride coffee, open-faced sandwiches, loaded bagels and cakes. While Dan often goes for the pulled pork bagel, I opt for the gluten-free 'Chia Sensation', a delicious (not to mention beautiful!) bowl of fruit and chia pudding. 

While at first, La Fabrica was mainly a pro-cyclist hang-out, the great coffee and mid-day food quickly attracted a largely local Catalan clientele. Now, you're more likely to hear Catalan as you are to rub shoulders with a few riders. 

It's a great place to meet pre-ride, with emergency pump, bike locks and lots of space for people to sit. 

It's a good place to hunt for local cycling souvenirs, and one of the only places you can watch races live on TV.
